Country-scale spatio-temporal monitoring of soil erosion in Iran using the G2 model

چکیده
The aim of this study was the spatial and temporal monitoring soil erosion patterns in Iran. G2 model used, as an appropriate tool to provide required month-time step country-wide loss maps statistical outputs. input parameters were derived with field surveys remote sensing imagery (MODIS, SRTM, SPOT, Sentinel-2 scenes). An innovation for consideration snow cover effect on rainfall erosivity. It also first time used map such a big country like Iran scale. mean annual found be 16.5 t ha−1, which is equal about 2.7 billion tons loss. In terms, highest values north, west southwest part Iran, steep slopes Alborz Zagros mountains. lowest monthly 3.2 0.09 ha−1 correspond January July, respectively.
